fight club ending

Mr.Fishcer this is my last post not the one before.

The ending really surprised me. Tyler tells the reader at the beginning that only death can seperate you from project mayhem. So Tyler goes back to his main town and enters a fight club there. He goes in and says everyone is going to fight him one on one, all 50 people. In the first fight loses a tooth, the second half his tongue, the third he is knocked out. Tyler tried to get killed but the people there gave him mercy. The narrator Tyler's best friend takes him home that night. This is where the part I get shocked at. Remember the beginning when I told you they were going to bomb a building, they do the same thing at the end. The begging of the book was really the end. On top the building at the end the narrator kills Tyler and himself to get out of this whole mess they created. The beginning stopped at the part where the bomb did not go off. The same thing happened at the end except the narrator kills both of them. After the story the author tells us that Tyler did change history. The fight club has now spread international to almost every continent. Some countries outlaw them others don't, but what is more important are the rules Tyler created for fight club. These rules would be a standard for fighting everywhere even the streets. The author says this has been so successful even IV league schools like Brown are starting this. The students there claim that this is not against the law because both people agree to fight. This is the same concept also in Hockey. Tyler did accomplish his goal in changing history, by killing himself he made his name be remembered. I can't wait to watch the movie.

After all the insane things Tyler has done (opening the fight club and project Mayhem) he suddenly want to close it all down. Fight club and project mayhem have spread to 100 cities all over the US and Tyler wants to close it down. Tyler walks into a fight club and yells to close it. He tells everyone that he is Tyler but no one believes him. Rule #1 was you don't talk about the fight club therefore no one gets credit for creating it. Tyler yells 3 times for everyone to leave but no one doesn't. Tyler is mad because someone has died in the fight club. The leader of this specific fight club which is not Tyler screams "His name is Robert Paulson. He is 48 years old.... In death we become heroes." then the whole club yells Robert Paulson. Tyler throughout the book has been saying he doesn't care if anyone gets hurt or injured, in fact he tried to bomb a building and he talks about people shouldn't die. The excuse he makes up is there is a good football game on TV that's why you have to leave. The whole crowd stares at him and then all 100 people go after him. They carry him out the club and lock him out for good. Tyler has been kicked out of the club he offically created, all 100 fight clubs go on without him. Why did Tyler all of a sudden change his mind I have no idea?

my opinion on Tyler from Fight club

Mr.Fishcer you asked me in my first blog if i think Tyler is crazy or normal, and I am now going to answer this question for you. I will do this at the end of the book again.

Personally I think Tyler is crazy. First he tried to bomb a buliding at the beginning, with him on the roof. If he wanted to have died why not jump off the skyscraper, if he wanted others to die why would he have been on the roof? Why would you want both? This was the first step to thinking Tyler was crazy. Then he joined the fight club. The concept of the fight club does not make that much sense, guys fight to get rid of stress? Why not use a punching bag. When Tyler started the project Mayhem was when I thought he lost it. He wants people to do things that will get them years in prison. I think Tyler is crazy because of his emotions. He is obsessed with death and people getting hurt. This is why Tyler is crazy.

project mayhem

Project mayhem is a step up from fight club, this is a project created by Tyler.
In project Mayhem the people in the group go around and do crimes. There are 4 committees and each meets on a different day. Arson on Monday. Assault on Tuesday. Mischief on Wednesday. Misinformation on Thursday. Project mayhem is like organized chaos. Tyler each week writes down proposes  of things to do each week.  Before each meeting Tyler picks 4 of the events he likes and throws them into a hat with some blank paper. No one but tyler knows the events, and the event you pick you cant tell no one else. The next day if someone sees a crazy event in the newspaper they have to wonder if that was from their group or was it not. If you get a blank paper you only need to do homework if you dont you need to do what the paper says. There are some rules to the project to.
1. If you get arrested while doing your event you are kicked off.
2. If you laugh while doing your event your kicked off.
3. there is no exsuses in project mayhem.
4. there is no lies.
Within one week every person on the assault must pick a fight where he will not come out the hero and the fight club will not work. This is a crazy idea from my point of view why would anyone do this. The idea of this is to recruit some joe smo on the street and make him feel good by winning the fight so he will join the project. Tyler at the end says that he does not care if anyone gets hurt he just wants to let people know they can control history.

ch. 10

In chapter 10 the narrator tells from his job as a banquet waiter.

Tyler and the narrator pee into soups of people at nobel banquets and that sort of things. Then Tyler tells of his first time as a waiter: He leaves a note  that says “I pissed into at least one of your perfumes!” at a ladies dressing table. This note turns the lady crazy. She drinks herself to bottom and cuts herself in the sharps of her perfume bottles. an ambulance is called. Tyler’s reason for this action is innocent whales get killed for some unnecessary ingredients. Tyler is showing the world how whales feel when we kill them. At the end he relies that this type of stuff gets boring by himself. He wants to try this with Hepatits bugs.

What is the fight club?

The fight club is the basement below a popular bar. The fight club is open once a week on Saturdays after the bar is closed. Only 50 people can go there per week.
There are alo certain rules at the fight club.
1. You don't talk about the fight club outside the club.
2. You don't talk about the fight club outside the club. (in the book)
3. two people fight at one time. one fight at a time.
4. No shrit or shoes.
5. Your first night there you myst fight.
People in the fight club are not who they are in the real world. A quiet person may be a violent one too. The narrator met Tyler through this fight club, after they had fought. The fight club is a place where people go becuase they are scared of something or mad at something and fighting helps them get rid of this problem. For most of the people it is s a stress reliver.

Why were the narrator and Tyler going to bomb the building?

          

  The narrator and Tyler were on a 191 and story building and he was about to blow it up. Down stairs the people threw out stuff out the window. They were all going to die so why break the window. Tyler had a gun in the narrator’s mouth and said if he moved he would die. I assumed that the narrator must have tried to stop but could not. Later in the chapter Tyler says he wants to be part of history that is why he is blowing up the worlds tallest building. Tyler I later learn had a hard life and by doing this he would get a quick way to fame. Tyler tells the narrator how to make these kinds of weapons, giving him tons of examples. He tells us how to make napalm in three different ways, nerve gas, and car bombs. As I am reading this I am thinking this guy is crazy, but at the end this is all about a girl named Marla. The narrator wants Tyler, Tyler wants Marla, and Marla wants the narrator. The narrator I find out is a guy in the next chapter showing us he is gay.

When I arrived at my home today, I saw that my front window was smashed. Stupid kids playing baseball, they don't know how to hit or throw. I walked over to the window and saw that a brick smashed my window. I was scared out of my mind. I open my door quietly and walk into my house. All of my pictures had been smashed, my sons pictures, my wedding picture, and a picture of my mom. I walked into the kitchen and saw some of my plates were smashed. My glass cups were smashed to. Worst of all the intruder had drank two of my beers. He went to far relaxing in my house, why couldn’t he just have stole stuff and left. As I am about to call my wife, I hear some one walk down the stairs. I hid behind a sofa. The man as he walks down breaths heavily, and I can hear that has a metal tool in his hand. Then the man sends a chill down my spine when he says "Come out. Don't come out. I will find you and hang you off your porch, so your family sees you."
           Then I hear him lock the front door. I was about to pee in my pants. The man then says "I will look in the kitchen first."
           I still do not know what the man looks like if I wanted to turn him in. If I open the door he will hear it. I have to get a picture of him then run. My camera was sitting on the table. I go to turn it on but the battery is dead. I have to go upstairs to get new batteries. I go up the stairs checking to make sure he doesn’t see me, but I trip on the stairs not paying attention to where I was walking and the man hears me. He knows I’m upstairs. I go and hide under my bed. He walks by my room not seeing me, and into my eldest son's room. Then I decide to jump out the window. I make the landing and then run. I ran and ran until I got to the police station. I was to scared to call them. 
The police come back to my house and see that the thief has left. They do their usual finger print, blood stuff. Then they say to me “We will look at the data and try to capture him. Tell us if anything comes up.”
For some reason I felt like the police would never catch him. My wife will never believe me if I tell her. I walked to the place I always go to when I want to clam down McDonalds. As I sit there eating my fries I see a weird looking man with a mask across the street. He points at me and tells me to go to him. I've seen enough horror movies to know that any weirdo wearing a mask is never friendly. I shake my head at him saying no, and then he holds up a brick. I then realized that was the man who robbed my house even though I never saw his face. I then run out of McDonalds all the way to my house. When I walk into my house I see a note with two batteries on it. The note reads “Be afraid be very afraid.” 
Then I turn around and see the man behind me. He then removes his mask and this is what I see. Then everything goes black.

This story is the hardest time of this characters life. These events have nothing to do with me or anyone else i know.

           Friday night I John went to bed exhasted. When I woke up Saturday morning everything in my room was in suitcases except my bed and my drawer. Action figures, clothes, posters in suitcases. I looked out the window and saw a U-Haul truck. Our house had been foreclosed. My mom came in and said "John we got foreclosed, I have clothes for you on the table, you have 30 min to get ready till then all the furniture will be moved out."
         I said to her "Where are we moving to?"
         She replied we are moving to your Aunt Pam's house. I had never been to her house because she lived a 4 hr car ride from our old house.
         This is my first day at my aunts house. Her house is very nice, great neighborhood, I plan on playing basketball outside. As I walked to the park I noticed that this is a very rich neighborhood. When I got to the park there were many kids there playing basketball. As i walk onto the court everyone looks at me, they can tell I'm new. Then I hear someone call my name, I turn around and I see the impossible. The person who called my name was named Carlos, he was my best friend and he told me that he had moved here after his home got foreclosed, but I didn't know that. I did not play basketball that day. In fact I took Carlos to my new house and when my mom opened the door she didn't say anything she just hugged my and Carlos.

As Mary walked onto the bus she slipped on a banana peel and fell down. The man next to her helped her up, and then he noticed that she had a twisted ankle. It had been to late to go to the doctors to the man insisted that he walk her home. The man walked her home, as Mary went to open the door a hugs smile came across the man’s face but Mary did not see him smile. Once they had gotten home the man took care of the ankle. After that Mary went upstairs to get her son. As she went upstairs the man took out a gun loaded it, and added the silencer. Mary came down and said "hey meet my son George." Mary went to get tea for both of them and then George collasped, but the man hides George and tell her he is in the bathroom. Mary then complains that the ankle hurts and then the man picks up the gun points at her and says the pain will go away.

Narrator is speaking to his son, and audience in a story: First part is him recalling the game as if he were there second part is him in the present talking about the game

Sweat pouring down my face, heart pounding. #11 brings it up, gives it up #25, drains three before the half in my face. Crowd erupts. Scorer comes to me, says “look at the scoreboard, goin for 40.” Halftime just shouts. After halftime lead increased from 12 to 18. Down 18, 3min to go. We call a timeout, the last timeout. After huddle our team’s entire mood changed. 50%of the crowd had left. We went on a 20-0 run in the last 3min,  buzzer sounded we won. Arena was as quiet as anyone ever heard it. We pulled a videogame comeback. No handshakes, no fight, nothing. Didn’t cheer, no boos, silence. Our team and coach, walked to half court sat down and started crying.  “The 20-0 run.” was the name it got.

30 years since still remember.  Let me tell what coach said in our timeout. When coach called time he said “Our season is three minutes from being over. You’re the best team I ever had I love you guys. This game meant alot, their coach 25 years ago beat me in the city championship, hit the winner in my face. Every time we played he won. Never faced him again in any championship, today was my rematch. He is humiliating me even more today than 25 years ago.” Our  coach was blinking his eyes at the ceiling. 20point comeback at their home, priceless. God should’ve seen the fans.  Best part came after the game I took the game ball, gave it to the kid who said he would drop forty.
